Description:
The PNG format (pronounced PiNG) was the replacement the Internet found, after
the GIF format/CompuServe/LZW compression-patent stuff. PNG is a lossless image-
compression format, which allows a large range of applications. The PNG format
is in the public domain, the latest versions of the standard and related
information can always be found at the PNG FTP archive site
