Description: It is possible to compile C, C++, or Fortran code so that it is callable Matlab. This kind of program is called a Matlab Executable (MEX) external interface function, or more briey a \MEX- function. MEX enables the high performance of C, C++, and Fortran while working within the Matlab environment. We will discuss C/MEX functions, which also applies directly to C++/MEX. Fortran/MEX is quite di erent and we do not discuss it here.
