Description: mage segmentation is the technology and process of dividing an image into several specific and unique regions and presenting interesting targets. It is a key step from image processing to image analysis. The existing image segmentation methods are divided into several categories: threshold based segmentation, region based segmentation, edge based segmentation and segmentation based on specific theory. Since 1998, researchers have improved the original image segmentation method and applied some new theories and methods in other disciplines to image segmentation, and a number of new segmentation methods have been proposed. The target extracted after image segmentation can be used for image semantic recognition, image search and so on.
