Description: To improve the boiler drum level control system of a power plant, the three challenging issues encountered include (1)
effect of ‘‘false water level’’, (2) controller parameter mismatches due to variant working conditions and (3) signal noise
caused by uncertainties of drum level. In this paper, based on analyses of the drum level signal, an adaptive derivative
action is presented to monitor steam flow, and thus, the effect of ‘‘false water level’’ is weakened. The uncertainties of
parameter mismatches and noise are predicted by developing a Grey predictor based algorithm (GPBA). In order to
resolve the three problems and further control performance, an adaptive technique is combined with the GPBA to develop
an adaptive Grey predictor based method. Finally, concrete simulations give that the proposed method has obvious superiority

Description: The DVI Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation (ADPCM) algorithm was first described in an IMA recommendation on audio formats and conversion practices [1]. ADPCM is a transformation that encodes 16-bit audio as 4 bits (a 4:1 compression ratio). In order to achieve this level of compression, the algorithm maintains an adaptive value predictor, which uses the distance between previous samples to store the most likely value of the next sample. The difference between samples is quantized down to a new sample using an adaptive step-size. The algorithm in [1] suggests using a table to adapt this step-size to the analyzed data. 本文所提方法的优越性.-The decoupling Smith control method is presented for multi-input-multi-output system with time-delays
which are often encountered in practical engineering. A new method for designing the decoupler based on the adjoint
matrix of the multivariable system model with time-delays is proposed. By analyzing the amplitude-frequency and phasefrequency
characteristics of the decoupled model, the decoupled model is reduced to a first-order model with time-delay.
According to the closed-loop characteristic equation of Smith predictor structure, a PI controller is developed by using the
principle of pole assignment for Butterworth filter. Sufficient and necessary conditions for robust stability are derived for
adaptive and multiplicative uncertainties commonly occurred in practice. Simulation results show the superiority of the
