Description: 一个cdma2000的系统仿真器,附英文手册-The cdma2000-UV Simulator estimates the performance of data transmissions at the physical layer of the mobile communications technology cdma2000 1X. These wireless data transmissions enable the communication between mobile stations (e.g., cellular phones, PDAs, laptops) and base stations (i.e., the communication systems that provide network access to the final user). Examples of these transmissions include voice, e-mails, and text messages. The simulation results are calculated according to the simulation parameters set by the user. For example, the user may set a non-moving mobile station in an indoor environment or a moving mobile station in a vehicular environment. With the results obtained with the simulator, the user can perform different analyses such as the degradation in system performance due to an increase of the number of mobile stations or the effects of multipath channels on CDMA transmissions. For the implementation and study of such simulations is needed two basic tools: a vehicular movement simulator to set up and to simulate in the most realistic way the movement of vehicles on a preset scene, and a network simulator, with which designs the communication patterns between the vehicles and the physical characteristics of transmissions. In our case, the vehicular simulator chosen is CityMob [29] and NCTUns [31] as a network simulator.

Description: A Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) is a network where vehicles can disseminate information such as traffic conditions, availability of free parking lots or content. In order to fulfill VANET application requirements (Time To Live (TTL), information distance spread), we need to use the available network resources (e.g., radio capacity) optimally depending on the traffic conditions. While cellular-based approaches (e.g., 3rd Generation mobile telecommunications (3G)) is suited for low traffic conditions, dense traffic (where users might already use 3G) is particularly suited for relying on Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication (e.g., ad-hoc WIFI). There is a clear need to adapt the dissemination strategy to the current traffic conditions and application requirements. The optimal solution is based on combining or alternating between cellular-based and opportunistic dissemination strategies.
