This document outlines implementation guidelines for OpenMAX-IL component and client developers. These guidelines avoid unexpected and unwilling behavior (also known as race-conditions) during component interactions in transitional states. This application note should be read together with the OpenMAX-IL version 1 specification (see [1]), and clarifies some parts in the specification that could be misunderstood.
